Thorney Motorsport develop and build cars for racing, everything from the Production BMW Championship to the BTCC. They specialise in sprint and endurance racing with Vauxhall Astra, Corsa, Insignia models and BMW’s E30,46 and 92 M3 models. They have now established themselves as one of the largest and most experienced independent Mclaren tuning and servicing operations in the world.

They required a five bay race workshop fit out in two separate garage storage areas with mobile roller cabinets and race workstations. The workshop storage solutions project covered everything from storing motorsport parts, high-performance engineering components, equipment and accessories.

The final motorsport workshop fit out exceeded expectations. The race bays were fitted out with tool storage cabinets and tool storage cupboards from the Famepla range with a customised paint finish matching Thorney’s green and black logo. The worksurfaces were manufactured with a black high pressure laminate ensuring durability and strength. Internally the drawers had partitioning, plastic trays, troughs and foam inlays ensuring quick storage and retreival – a pleasure to work in.

These tool storage cabinets and drawers are going to be opened and closed all day and even night  – some drawers with loads exceeding 100kg  – Polstore is the right choice if you are looking for a stunning finish with industrial heavy use strength.
